The Giacomo Conterno winery represents a true monument to Italian winemaking, one of the most authoritative producers of Barolo, the celebrated red wine that has played a decisive role in establishing its international reputation. The origins of this historic Langhe estate date back to the 19th century, when the Conterno family was already producing wine in the Barolo hills. In 1900, Giacomo Conterno officially founded the winery in Monforte d'Alba, in the Ornati area, and in the 1920s began bottling the first labels under his own name. The legacy was then passed to his son Giovanni and subsequently to his grandson Roberto, who now leads the company. Meticulousness, passion, and precision are the hallmarks that have allowed the Conterno family to fully enter the world of winemaking.
